Across the street, The Burlap Room Beer Garden and Live Music is a large, open center that hosts various music groups with plenty of space to dance. For more music, the Smithville Jamboree has been held for over 50 years and attracts fiddlers and a crowd each year.

Center Hill Lake is the town’s focal point and its greatest attraction. People can join yacht clubs for boating, sailing, networking, and making the best of the winding, gorgeous waters. The Center Hill Marina & Yacht Club is next to the state park and near the breathtaking dam. The Nautical Boat Club Center Hill/Cookeville lets locals rent boats and experience luxury outings on the water. 
 
The Leeric Lodge and Resort Center on Center Hill Lake is a popular place to shoot photography for weddings, senior pictures, and the natural scenery. Long Branch Recreation Area is where visitors can use the grills, the camp, and the fish wash to clean their catch from the lake.
 
Appalachian Center for Craft is on the north shore and is a place where local artists can rent studio space, display items in the gallery, and take in the view from Center Hill Lake for inspiration. 
 
The RiverWatch Golf Club has a great course near the water's edge and is a wonderful spot for people to play with a view. Nature lovers and people who enjoy the great outdoors can find several places to camp near the water, including Rock Island State Park.
